Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF) Eligibility and Distribution Policy

Educators of Beauty President, Angie Clevenger, signed and returned the Certification and Agreement to the U.S. Department of Education on April 14, 2020.

Educators of Beauty College of Cosmetology have considered the needs of COVID-19 impacted students in creating this policy. We have determined that all eligible students have suffered roughly similar needs arising from the crisis. After Governor Pritzker rolled out his plan to reopen Illinois we felt the impact of Covid-19 would affect the education of our students for the next few months. Therefore, we decided to break up the distribution over the course of 3 months, to attempt to help the greatest number of students possible.

Educators of Beauty received $105,394.00 in grant funds for our Sterling and Rockford students and $47,495.00 for students enrolled at our Peru campus.

Educators of Beauty created our HEERF Eligibility and Distribution Policy with the intent of helping the most students. Therefore, the following eligibility criteria were used:

A total of $29,600 was distributed to Rockford and Sterling Campus and $11,600 was distributed to Peru.  Each student signed a receipt form.
